New patio finally finished following the removal of a large bay tree(tree work done by Verdis from Guildford (highly recommend), made from odds and sods found in the garden and workshop. Very in keeping with the 16C house.
A pair of dresser style cupboards and shelves, made from the dreaded Mdf but as it was for a regular client I was prepared to accept this stuff!
Light boxes on the ceiling to set off the whole thing once it’s has a bit of Farrow and Ball paint.
Nice little pull out discs for running plugs into the sockets located inside both

I had a very loyal client came to me with an old desk(c18) that was too big for its intended position in a bedroom.
“Can it be made smaller by 8″ in both directions” was the request.
So all the joints were sprung and new mortice and tenons cut. New drawer back spliced in and a good waxing to the base.
The top was split but whole,so a new moulding to match the two existing sides was cut in and the top repaired and clamped for a few days.
A good polishing and you would never know it wasn’t made to this size in the first place.
